Hey Belize!
In April of 2017, a few members of my family and I visited an island off the coast of Belize. In order to get here, we took a small plane that seated about 14 people. The entire island was very small, and everybody got around on golf carts. The island itself was beautiful, and the water was incredibly blue. Our accommodation was situated on the water, right next to a beach bar and restaurant. We had a great time on this island walking the streets and checking out many local street vendors. One of the restaurants we ate at made these incredible pastries called fry-jacks. I think my mom and I went back everyday to eat one for breakfast. We also took a day trip to swim with rays and nurse sharks! As soon as we jumped in the water, they began to swim right up to us! They bumped into us while swimming in the water, and it truly was a crazy experience. After this, we also took a day trip to the mainland, where we explored some ancient Mayan ruins.
